Nouri Chtourou was born October 20, 1959 in Sfax, Tunisia.
He graduated from the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis, his doctoral thesis in economics has focused on "Economic Analysis of the State in development issues".
After beginning his teaching career at Manchester University in 1986, he was appointed to the rank of assistant professor in the Faculty of Law, Economics and Management of Sousse in 1994.
He is currently Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Management of Sfax and Visiting Professor at the University of Sophia Antipolis.
He was a consultant to the World Bank and the African Union.
His research focuses on New Institutional Economics and governance, public economics and the normative and positive models using artificial neural networks in the problem of construction of composite indicators, Classification/Clustering and Ranking/Rating. Many works have emerged giving rise to publications in journals and book chapters. This research conducted in tandem with Professor Rochdi Feki led to the development of an algorithm called "CFAR-m" in court on marketing in the field of Competitive Intelligence.
